If you’re searching for a filter coffee that’s a real treat, our Natural Guji Kello Raro is a true standout. This is one we genuinely adore – complex, rich, and bursting with fruit, with a beautifully balanced sweetness and acidity. Its impressive cup score of 87.5 is a testament to the depth and harmony of its flavours.
What makes this coffee special isn’t just its taste, but its journey. Grown by 230 dedicated smallholder farmers in the lush, red-brown soils of Raro Village, high in Ethiopia’s Guji Zone, each bean is nurtured at altitudes between 1,900 and 2,250 metres. The cherries are hand-picked at the height of ripeness between November and January, then delivered to the local wet mill. Here, a skilled team of women meticulously sort the cherries, ensuring only the very best make the cut.
The cherries are then sun-dried on raised African beds for 17 days, carefully watched over by the dry mill manager to guarantee perfect processing. After drying, the coffee rests for two months to develop its full character, before being milled and prepared for its journey to your cup.
