Founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife team Rutaganda Gaston and Mukantwaza Laetitia, Rwamatamu is both a family legacy and a force for community progress. The washing station works with local farmers to buy only the ripest cherries, process them with care, and nurture a vibrant, sustainable coffee culture in the region.

Cherries are handpicked and fully washed, then dried on raised African beds in the high, cool climate—highlighting the coffee’s natural clarity and sweetness.
