Beautiful work by a local artist.

1. BLACKROCK DIVING TOWER
Blackrock Diving Tower is an iconic structure on the Salthill promenade. It was built in 1942.

2. MUTTON ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE
Mutton Island is a small island located off the coast of Salthill and is connected to the mainland by a causeway.
It was once one of the final landmarks of the city seen by emigrants leaving on the ‘coffin ships’ bound for the United States in the Great Famine.
There is a fantastic panoramic view of the city and Salthill from the causeway.

3. KICK THE WALL
At the Blackrock end of the Salthill promenade, locals and tourists have a tradition of kicking the wall before turning back. Does it bring good fortune, is it a habit or a superstition… who knows?

This artwork was created by hand using a fine liner and ink on paper.
It was professionally scanned and printed in Galway on high quality 270 gram, FSC certified, acid free paper.
This print is A3 (297x420mm) and will fit in an off the shelf frame.
It is signed by the artist.
