KENYA
Variety: SL-28, SL-34 | Process: Washed | Altitude: 1650 MASL | Harvest: January 2023 | Producer: Small-scale farmers, Ngugu-ini washing station | Region: Kirinyaga County, central Kenya
Sweet and balanced with notes of plum cake, blackcurrant & caramel.
This is a beautifully sweet and balanced coffee, perfect for bringing some warmth into your days this winter! The beans were grown on family-owned farms, averaging roughly one acre in size, on the rich volcanic soils south of snow-capped Mt Kenya. Once delivered to the wetmil, the coffee cherries are depulped and fully washed so that the region's terroir is fully evident in the cup. We've given it a medium roast for espresso and moka-pot preparations but it will also make a richer filter coffee.
