Cascavel Verde means “green rattlesnake” in Portuguese. This snake gets a bad rep most of the time, while it is so important for the coffee ecosystem! By catching rodents and other small animals, it makes sure to keep pests far away from the coffee farms.
This is really a classic Brazilian coffee with all the expected characteristics! It has a soft citrus acidity, lots of nuts, and is quite fruity. Very good with milk, it gets all nice and creamy. Besides this, it is a pulped natural. This means the skin gets removed from the coffee cherry prior to drying, but the pulp is left on during drying. It creates a nice outspoken flavour, without getting too funky.
Notes: nutty, citric acidity, floral, fruity.
